Friday 7 August
“SHARED SPIRITUAL JOURNEY”
Encouragement Hour on SAT-7 TÜRK began as a response to this question: How might Turkish people be encouraged to experience prayer as a daily, life-giving practice and as a shared spiritual journey, even when they are physically alone? Pray that God will provide ways for more isolated Turkish Christians to share their journey of faith.
Saturday 8 August
FARIDA FROM ALGERIA
”I have walked a long journey with you, and I truly thank God for you,” said Farida, a female SAT-7 ARABIC viewer from Algeria. Let us echo her prayer for SAT-7: “I pray that [SAT-7] will continue to be an even greater blessing, that God will open more doors for your ministry, and that through the encouragement and truth you share, you will remain a source of blessing to many people across generations.”

THE WAY TO GOD
“Jesus answered, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me’” (John 14:6). Praise God that He has opened up the way to Himself, and that we have His written word to show us that way.
Monday 10 August
LIGHT NIGHT
Light Night on SAT-7 ARABIC is an interactive live show filmed with a small audience of young people, exploring different topics about youth and faith using discussion, humour, music, and storytelling. Pray for God to bless the makers of this show as they prepare its second series.
Tuesday 11 August
ILKNUR FROM TÜRKIYE
“I worship our Lord in secret,” shared İlknur, a woman from Türkiye. “I’ve been caught twice. My husband threw away all my Bibles and books. He tried to turn me in to the police, but they didn’t arrest me. I can’t go to church, but I really want to go.” Thank God for İlknur’s faith and pray her husband will encounter Jesus.

INTERNATIONAL YOUTH DAY
SAT-7’s Youth for an Enabling Society (YES) project continues to create content that inspires young people to grow in their talents and become a force for good in the world. This International Youth Day, pray for God to bless all the social media users who are engaging with YES material.
Thursday 13 August
SAT-7’S INTERNATIONAL OFFICE, CYPRUS
SAT-7’s head office is in the city of Nicosia, in the Greek (southern) part of Cyprus. Before we pray for each of the teams working in our International Office, let us pray for the unity and effectiveness of the whole team over the coming months.
Friday 14 August
COMMUNICATIONS & DEVELOPMENT
The Communications & Development teams are responsible for creating reports, articles, videos, emails, and other content that allows people to connect with and support our work. Pray for these teams – which include ten different nationalities working across different countries and timezones – to work well together and produce great work throughout the remainder of 2026.

FINANCE
SAT-7’s Finance team are always busy handling donations, managing expenses, and making sure the charity is functioning sustainably. Pray they will know God’s presence this coming week.
Sunday 16 August
“TWO ARE BETTER THAN ONE”
“Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labour: if either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up” (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10). Pray that all of our International Office staff in Cyprus will learn to help each other up if and when they fall down during tough times.

PEOPLE AND CULTURE
SAT-7’s People and Culture team make SAT-7 a brilliant place to work. Pray that this team will be inspired when planning team-building days and celebrations for their fellow team members.
Tuesday 18 August
I.T.
In a ministry that is almost entirely digital, the I.T. team has their work cut out – constantly fixing computers, solving digital problems and keeping our systems working. Pray that they will be encouraged in their work and not lose sight of what – and Who – it is all for.
Wednesday 19 August
LEADERSHIP
Rita El-Mounayer (CEO), Terry Ascott (Founder and President) and George Makeen (Ministry Content Advisor) are all stationed at our International Office in Cyprus. Pray for God to pour out his wisdom and love on their lives.
Thursday 20 August
A CHANGING WORLD
In a rapidly changing world, pray that all our staff at the International Office will be blessed with wisdom and courage as they navigate big decisions relating to our content, technology, and communication.
Friday 21 August
HOLY SPIRIT
Pray that God will remind each and every SAT-7 staff member, from the UK to Cyprus and from Türkiye to Egypt, of His continual presence with them. May they know the Holy Spirit’s indwelling at this very moment.
Saturday 22 August
BELIEVE IF YOU CAN
Through live music, interactive games and a mixture of both light-hearted and deep conversations,
SAT-7 TÜRK’s new talk show Believe If You Can shows viewers a different side of Christianity and counters negative stereotypes. Pray that viewers will be drawn to Jesus through this show.

PRAYER AND PRAISE
”Is anyone among you in trouble? Let them pray. Is anyone happy? Let them sing songs of praise” (James 5:13). As we continue to ponder SAT-7’s work in the MENA, ask God to turn your thoughts into prayers and your feelings into songs of praise.
Monday 24 August
KAYA FROM TÜRKIYE
“Watching you encouraged me to seek Jesus Christ,” said Kaya, a man from Türkiye who recently got baptised. “You took the time to chat with me, guiding me towards a church, and you’re still following along. First I thank the Lord, and then I thank you very much. You are doing an amazing job.” Thank God for Kaya’s experience and pray he will keep growing in faith.
Tuesday 25 August
HUMAN RIGHTS ABUSES IN THE MENA
God is powerfully at work in the MENA, but of course there are still areas of desperate need. As we consider some of the human rights abuses taking place in the MENA, pray that God will soften the hearts of leaders in the region so they are better attuned to the suffering of their people.
Wednesday 26 August
OPPRESSED FOR CHRIST
In countries like Yemen, Sudan, Syria, Libya, Iran, Afghanistan and Saudi Arabia, even exploring Christianity brings great risks – let alone actually committing to follow Jesus. Pray for oppressed Christians in these nations to be strengthened by the Holy Spirit so they can stand firm in their faith.
Thursday 27 August
MODERN-DAY SLAVERY
Out of 160 countries on the Global Slavery Index, Saudi Arabia has the fourth highest prevalence for modern-day slavery, which can manifest as forced labour, human trafficking, and other forms of exploitation. Pray for an end to these crimes in Saud Arabia.
Friday 28 August
DIFFERENT ANGLE ON VIOLENCE
A recent episode of SAT-7 ARABIC talk show Different Angle shone a light on the issue of male violence against women in the Arab world. Pray that content like this will bring healing to women and affect positive change in the hearts of men.
Saturday 29 August
CHILDREN IN IRAN
Estimates for child labourers in Iran vary from 1.5 million to 7 million and children as young as 12 were reported to have been recruited as soldiers earlier this year. Pray for legal breakthroughs that protect children from exploitative work environments and any form of conflict.
Sunday 30 August
“YOU LISTEN TO THEIR CRY”
“You, Lord, hear the desire of the afflicted; you encourage them, and you listen to their cry, defending the fatherless and the oppressed, so that mere earthly mortals will never again strike terror” (Psalm 10:17-18). Praise God for His compassion and ask Him to fill you with it.
Monday 31 August
FREEDOM
Across the MENA, issues pertaining to freedom – of religion, speech, assembly and more – are often at the centre of social unrest. Pray that people of influence in the region will be drawn to the Christian vision of freedom.
